Day 9: Heading back to Tokyo for a bit of shopping
I had originally left time in our itinerary for a quick trip to Nara before heading back to Tokyo, but the family wanted to head back eary and get some shopping done. We took the bullet train back to Tokyo, leaving our luggage at our last hotel Mimaru Tokyo Nihombashi Suitengumae, while we explored. I specifically chose this hotel for its proximity to the Tokyo City Air Terminal (T-CAT), which has a bus that takes you directly to NRT or HND airport.
After dropping off our luggage, we took the subway to Gina to visit Uniqlo Flagship Ginza, Sanrio World Ginza, and Ginza SIX with its rooftop garden. Uniqulo had 12 floors, where my daughter bought multiple pants and jeans for a fraction of the price it would be in USA. Sanrio World was, unfortunately, a bit disappointing and smaller than we thought it would be. And Ginza SIX had an amazing rooftop garden that had calming views of the city. We ended the evening at a tempura restaurant that was one of the best tempura’s I’ve had.
Until Next Time,
Faith
